Glassworks Cerva Bohemia s.r.o. represents the longest running glassworks in Moravia and ranks among the oldest in the entire republic. The factory was established in Kvetna in 1794 by Prince Alois of Lichtenstein. The location for the construction was selected very carefully, in the middle of beech woods not far from Uhersky Ostroh in the cadastre of the Strani municipality, which is the deposit of high-quality glass sand. The glassworks specializes in blown, hand-shaped glass, decorated with cutting, etching, painting, matt cut, engraving, and sand-blasting. For more than 200 years the factory has been producing beverage and decorative glassware of classic and modern shapes designed by famous art designers in 16 basic colors. Czech crystal from Kvetna is exported to many countries around the world. The glassworks co-operates with multiple renowned Czech and European designers. We honor more than a 200-year tradition of handmade glass production. We connect an old craft with the latest technologies and processes to bring you the highest quality possible. Our master glassmakers belong to the best in their field and have been handing down their skills from father to son for many generations. The goal of our glassworks is to create unique crystal pieces of the highest quality and original design. That is why we co-operate with renowned Czech and foreign glass artists and designers. Mutual respect for the craft and exceptional skills creates symbiosis between the master glassmakers and designers, from which new beverage and decorative collections of timeless design and clear message for future generations are born.
