I teach the fingerstyle technique and repertoire of classical guitar. This technique can be applied to different kinds of guitars (steel-string acoustic, electric, etc.) and can serve as an excellent foundation to other musical styles (jazz, blues, country, rock, etc.), but can only be effectively learned on a true classical guitar. Beginning students will be guided through First Lessons for Guitar: Volume 1 by Julio S. Sagreras (which I will provide for $10). Students will also acquire the classic etudes of Sor, Carcassi, Villa-Lobos, and Brouwer, later exploring the rich diversity of classical guitar repertoire from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and Modern eras.
