The Chaldean Diocese of St. Thomas the Apostle is an Eastern Rite diocese (eparchy) under the Chaldean Catholic Patriarchate of Babylon in Baghdad, Iraq. Once covering the entire United States, the diocese now serves about 180,000 U.S. Catholics in the eastern half of the country. Metro Detroit has the highest concentration of Chaldeans in the United States, and ten of the diocese's twelve parishes are in Michigan.
