Chamber Music Central, Inc, founded by Millette Alexander, is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization providing chamber music instruction in Fairfield County Connecticut. Tuition Assistance, made possible through donations to the Chamber Music Central Scholarship Fund, is available to students with demonstrated need.Beautiful Music - Valuable Life Skills - Serious Fun! Intermediate and advanced-level piano, string, woodwind and french horn students (8-22 yrs) audition for placement in level and age-appropriate duos, trios and quartets where they are coached by gifted music professionals. Students also participate in chamber ensemble master classes conducted by inspirational guest artists as well as theory classes, ping-pong tournaments and pizza parties. Through these educational experiences ... creativity, teamwork, listening, leadership and collaboration blossom. Along the way, enduring friendships are formed.Summer internships are also offered to college music majors looking for hands-on experience assisting faculty and directors with chamber ensemble coaching/rehearsing and the administration of a music education program.
