We have been the lead lawyers for two out of the only three major iron ore operating joint ventures in Australia for China: the AUD$420 million Channar Joint Venture between Hamersley Iron and Sinosteel (this project was China's first overseas project and is regarded as the ‘model' joint venture for Chinese projects in Australia) and the AUD$11 billion Wheelarra Joint Venture between BHP and four of China's largest steel mills.
