Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation is an independent, non-profit corporation designed to enhance the quality of education in Champaign-Urbana through community support of the public schools. The Foundation's goal is to make a difference in our schools by providing valuable new opportunities for our students and teachers. As of FY20, CUSF has provided over $2 million of locally-raised dollars to our schools, through grants, targeted gifts, scholarships and endowed funds. Demands in our classrooms continue to grow. Public schools are challenged to keep up with innovation, new technology, and cutting-edge pedagogy with limited budgets. Community support is vital, and CUSF provides a way for individuals and businesses to help our classrooms and teachers stay innovative.CU Schools Foundation supports Champaign Unit 4 and Urbana School District #116. The Foundation accepts contributions from a wide range of donors, including individuals, businesses, corporations, families and organizations, all of whom share a vision of elevating the excellence of Champaign and Urbana public schools. Our annual unrestricted endowment distribution, school district contributions, fees and interest pay for CUSF operations to manage our programs. You may donate to the CUSF general endowment or to specific restricted fund to support teacher grants, scholarships and teacher awards. If you seek to support the schools with a directed gift and it supports the mission of the organization, it will be used for that restriction.
