The Chapter Book and Tea Shop is a specialty retailer and cafe located in the heart of Mount Eden. The store's specialties are premium teas, tea accessories & tea gifts, and romance fiction books. Chapter is the location of Auckland's original tea shop which started in 1995. The shop has a wide range of loose leaf teas (black, green, oolong, white, flavoured, herbal, fruit, organic and decaffeinated), tea sachets/luxury tea bags and tea accessories. Chapter's tea suppliers include China White (organic white tea); Coffee and Tea Lovers (loose leaf tea); Harney & Sons (silken sachet tea); Jing Tea (luxury tea); Kazi & Kazi (organic tea); Lezzo (Turkish apple tea); Metropolitan Tea (loose leaf tea); NZ Live (loose leaf tea with New Zealand ingredients); Oku New Zealand Native Herbal Products (kawakawa tea & cough and chest elixir); Pickwick (tea bags); Pukka (organic tea bags); T Leaf T (loose leaf tea); Tea Forte (luxury tea); Tea Total (loose leaf tea); Ti Ora (tea pyramids); and Zealong (pure organic New Zealand loose leaf tea). Our main tea supplier, the Metropolitan Tea Company, is based in North America and belongs to the Ethical Tea Partnership. Chapter's café serves the full range of teas, espresso coffee, delicious cakes, savoury treats and yummy cookies. We hold tea tastings (usually three teas) on Sundays from 10.30am - 11.30am (EXCEPT in December and the first half of January). Chapter is also an independent book shop specialising in the romance fiction genre, which includes contemporary, fantasy & paranormal, historical, hot and suspenseful romance books. The shop also sells selections of mainstream, chick lit and crime & mystery fiction. Visit us at 442 Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024. We are open Tues - Fri 9-5, Sat - Sun 9-4 and public holidays (except Mondays) 10-4. We are closed on Mondays.
