CHAR Fire is a manufacture of the worlds first vertical self rescue tools for firefighters; The CHAR Tool. CHAR stands for Climb Hook And Rip and was designed by veteran firefighters Nate Erwin and Billy Galvin from Highland Park MI. The CHAR Tool was born out of the desire to open a ceiling and quickly advance to the attic space to extinguish the fire. In addition to accessing the attic space quickly, we also saw a need for firefighters to be able to self rescue should they fall through a floor. With the design of the CHAR, firefighters are able to hook a floor or ceiling joist with the signature droop snoot hook and climb to safety. In 2022 we're focused on expansion of the company, we always wanted to branch out from just our tools and offer firefighters top quality gear, tools and equipment. We like to focus on the firefighter owned and operated companies and are always open to partnering with more. It's our goal to supply firefighters with the highest quality gear and equipment!
