A non-profit organization with over 30 years of experience providing support services to individuals facing the life challenges of cognitive, intellectual, developmental disabilities and behavioral health issues.The Charlotte White Center was founded in March of 1979 by Charlotte H. White and Richard M. Brown. At that time, the center was an endeavor inspired by the efforts and charisma of Charlotte White. She was able to garner enough support and funding to create a small day treatment center in downtown Dover-Foxcroft. Today, the Charlotte White Center (CWC) is a non-profit organization with over thirty years of experience and commitment to our mission: To provide quality community health and social services for adults, children, and families affected by cognitive and developmental disabilities, behavioral and mental health challenges, substance abuse, domestic violence, and acquired brain injuries.
