A History of ExcellenceCharter Builders was founded in 1971 and has been twice named the AIA Dallas' Contractor of the Year. The firm specializes in construction management at risk for public and private owners, with a primary emphasis on educational facilities. Charter has won numerous awards for project safety and quality in construction, including the 2009 national Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) in the 100,000-500,000 man-hours category from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
