Alan Willis was a passionate, hard working, dedicated horse lover with a reputation for honesty, integrity and above all strong family values. Together with his wife Val and their two sons, Alan Gregory and Bradley John he dedicated his life to fulfilling the dreams of others through breeding. He established Chatswood Stud at the family's Avenel property some 30 years ago and with the help of Alan Junior (or Greg as we know him), expanded the operation to the current location in Seymour in 1996 where they proudly stood first season sire – Flying Spur. Greg is proud to dedicate his life to emulating his father's values and continues his outstanding record of achievement. His knowledge and eye for detail has led to the magnificent world class operation we see today, however, as those who visit can attest, it still remains a home for all to feel welcome.The current Stallion line-up continues the tradition of Chatswood standing quality stallions that we believe in – a recipe that has resulted in some of the country's leading racehorses being conceived and raised at Chatswood.
