Cherie Martin & Associates is a network of management consultants, attorneys, information technology experts and other business professionals who are dedicated to growing and fertilizing businesses across North America. Founded in 2001, the firm was originally aligned to provide technology consulting, project management, and corporate training to large enterprise corporations. In 2007, we shifted our focus to micro-, small- and medium-sized business owners who wanted to better manage their companies. We specialize in the incubation and empowerment of minority-owned, women-owned, disabled-owned and veteran-owned businesses -- using the mentor-protégé model. Through one-to-one counseling, training workshops, management coaching and technical guidance, our mission is to provide our business owners the development assistance they need to be competitive, achieve entrepreneurial success, and contribute to the strength and vigor of our economy.Many small businesses in these disadvantaged sectors find diminished capital and credit opportunities as compared to others in the same or similar line of business, leaving them struggling to compete in the free enterprise system. Our customized bootstrapping strategy plans teach our owners creative and alternate ways to traditional financing that move their business-ownership dreams forward without the need for unattainable external financial help or capital. By funding their company's development by barter-trading for services needed, understanding how to leverage their internal cash-flow, and being savvy with their expenses, our empowered business owners will thrive in today's sharing-economy.
