Cherry Press was born from a desire to give talented authors the chance to publish their work independently in a way they never thought possible. We are a hybrid publisher committed to publishing books based on merit, not sales potential. Our manuscripts are chosen carefully, edited thoroughly, and transformed into professionally-produced books that can stand side-by-side with any traditionally-published work.It isn't our goal to sell a certain number of copies of your book. We have no quotas or financial stake in how well your book performs. Our earnings are the same, whether your work brings in one dollar or one million. This may seem like a drawback—because if we don't care how your book sells, why bother doing a good job?—but it is because of this financial separation that we are free to publish books based solely on their merit, regardless of saleability. We wish for a world where books sold according to their quality, but this is rarely true. Cherry Press was created to be a net, catching the gems that publishers turn down with the familiar sentence: "It's a great book, but I just don't think it can sell." We think it deserves the chance.
