Chicks in Crisis is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide love, home and family for every child. Our main goal is to reduce the number of babies and children entering foster care by teaching responsible parenting skills and our focus is to help teen parents find hope and strength to better themselves and therefore become capable parents who can function in society without the assistance of government programs. We work with pregnant and parenting teens, women and dads ages 11-25 to ensure they stay in school, maintain family size and continue on to secondary education/trade or vocational schooling. We provide our clients with a variety of parenting classes and life skills and as long as they stay in school and maintain family size, we will provide FREE diapers, wipes, formula, clothing and more – every 30 days. On average, Chicks in Crisis assists 450 household members and provides 19,000 items (diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, etc) every month. Last year, we had 57 graduates and we are SO proud of everything they've accomplished.Since its inception, Chicks in Crisis has facilitated over 450 adoptions resulting in a taxpayer savings of 200 million dollars.Chicks in Crisis relies on donations, corporate grants, individual grants and fundraising to support its programs and services.
