Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County, based in Hoffman Estates, serves more than 650 children and their families each year in 38 suburban communities. The CAC provides coordinated forensic interviewing, professional counseling, court advocacy and support services to children who have experienced sexual abuse or severe physical abuse. The streamlining of valuable resources benefits children, families and the community at large. A 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, CAC is a fully accredited member of the National Children's Alliance. CAC provides all services free of charge. Mission Statement: Serving as the leading resource to empower and heal the abused child and prevent violence against children. Goal: The goal of the Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to severe physical and child sexual abuse cases. The Center recognizes the special, unique needs of child victims, while demanding accountability for the crime of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse. .
