Founded in 1994, the not-for-profit organization is supported primarily by the Scottish Rite Masons, as well as other generous individuals, foundations, & corporations. Orton-Gillingham Training ProgramThe Children's Dyslexia Centers, Inc. Scholar Program has trained thousands of educators in the Orton-Gillingham teaching methodology with a focus on reading remediation. The this system is designed to address reading delay (or concerns of delay) with children K through grade 3. Orton-Gillingham is specifically prescribed to assist children with dyslexia, which is the number one cause of reading challenges.
