CHINA BOOK INTERNATIONAL magazine, or CBI magazine, was founded in Beijing in 2006. Affiliated with China New Bibliography Magazine Ltd, it is the only specialized magazine in China to provide foreign commercial and academic publishers with information on the latest Chinese publications in general fields (fiction, nonfiction, art, education, academic, economy, science, technology, social science to name a few). The magazine also includes contents like news from China's publishing industry, articles on Chinese authors and book reviews. CBI magazine is published every two months. Special issues are also published for major international book fairs. The printed magazines are available at Chinese embassies abroad and international book fairs including BookExpo America, the London Book Fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Beijing International Book Fair. The magazine also works to produce catalogs applied to a wider readership. Like the rights-manager contact list for China's major publishing houses published previously, it will continue to launch the English version of the Chinese Cataloguing-in-Publication record published by China New Bibliography magazine, as well as catalogs of some selected Chinese writers based on data provided by the China Publication Archive.
