China Petroleum Bio-Energy Company Limited (CPE) locates in China engages in Jatropha curcas plantations and biodiesel refinery developments, activities include research and developments, agronomy, biodiesel and oleochemical products manage and operations. CPE is one of the biggest Jatropha curcas cultivation, research and development and company in China. CPE has completed Jatropha planting on 4,000Ha of non-arable land in Guangdong province China. Company created and utilizes new generation Jatropha seeds with oil contents of over 50% and is achieving seed yield of 3 Ton/Ha. We are expecting seed yield to be rearched at 7.5 Ton/Ha. CPE owns a 35Ha nursery cultivation center in Hainan province China, which focuses in plant science, breeding, and production of Jatropha seedlings. The nursery center has collected over 200 specimens of Jatropha seeds from all over the world and is on path to becoming one of the biggest Jatropha seed bank in China, if not the largest. CPE's team has over 15 years experience in generic study in Jatropha. Recently, the Company has successfully achieved increasing the ratio of female flowers to male flowers which will further increase seed yield. In addition, our team has developed and patented various techniques that can turn Jatropha into medical, agricultural, and industrial use (Aviation fuel). CPE is a socially and environmentally responsible company. We engage in contract farming which increase employment and rural income in one of the poorest area in Guangdong province China. Jatropha as a non-food crop and grow in non-arable land, act as carbon offsets and protect fields from soil erosion and counter deforestation. CPE collaborates with various government agencies and universities in China on poverty alleviation and clean air initiatives.
