Chinese American Scholars Association (CASA) was founded for academics, managers, professionals who supported the concerns of the Chinese American issues. CASA was registered with the State of New York and Internal Revenue Service (IRS code Section 501 C-3), as a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization in 1989. CASA ran 20+ workshops and conferences in the New York area with a daily attendance of 30 to 450 people. In 2004, emerging markets Brazil, Eastern Europe, Russia, India, and China moved to the world stage. Distance Education, Entrepreneurship, E-Commerce, Ethics, and Social Responsibility, provided new and innovative ways to learning. CASA board decided to hold E-Leader conferences to address these global issues. Since 2006, CASA ran 28 successful E-Leader conferences in Asia and Europe. Speakers and participants raved about the face-to-face exchanges between CEOs, founders, managers, and professors, from diverse areas of expertise and background. E-Leader International Journal provided the online and CD-ROM publications. CASA now has 306 board members from 45 countries including China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, and the USA.
