CHIRON is a consortium of companies and research institutes providing innovative solutions for the biomedical sector.CHIRON will create and validate a bio-inkjet platform (3D bioprinters and biomaterials) for research, and later clinical use. CHIRON will enable patterning of a portfolio of biomaterials, matrices, and cells with high spatiotemporal resolution, with osteochondral tissue as demonstrator cases.CHIRON will be the first 3D bio-inkjetplatform to create a wide range of truly complex biomimetic tissue micro- and macro-environments with unprecedented speed and resolution. The consortium is formed by:Concr3de BV, IPC(Innovative Polymer Comounds), the department of Biofabrication of UMCUtrecht, the department of Biofabrication of the Trinity College of Dublin.
