CHOICE Chicago is a 501 C3 non-profit organization based in Evanston Illinois. CHOICE, which stands for Computers Helping Optimize Inner City Education, was created by 3 high school friends to tackle lack of resources in schools that are most desperately in need. CHOICE refurbishes and wipes data from computers that are no longer in use by large organizations like local government, down to individual donations from families. Donations are based on necessity, and are generally donated to schools on the south and west sides of Chicago. CHOICE has donated over 1000+ desktop and laptop computers to over 15 educational organizations in Chicagoland since its inception in 2011.
