We're only to aware of the challenges facing young singers, both in gaining actual experience to showcase their talents and to develop new and appropriate skills, especially in the worlds of classical and musical theatre. With this in mind, The Chris Treglown Fund is intended to act as a valuable resource for aspiring singers between the ages of 16-26With this in mind we decided to set up a fund to keep his memory alive. As a result, through the very kind and generous donation of funds, we're able help similarly talented young people to develop their singing skills, capacities and capabilities. This funding is in the form of an Award and is designed to assist the students to:-pursue their musical education-purchase necessary educational materials-participate in activities which will help achieve their optimum musical performance levelsThe Award is intended to act as a valuable resource for talented singers between the ages of 16 and 26 This year £1000 per recipient will be made available for:-costs toward singing lessons-purchase of sheet music and related books-attendance fee and/or travel costs for musical workshops and masterclasses-costs toward audition attendance-costs toward college tuition feesAs well as supporting young singers and providing opportunities for youngsters to sing and perform the Fund has donated money to support local groups such as the Cornwall Youth choirs
