Christ Vidyanikethan is an English Medium School affiliated to C.I.S.C.E. (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination) an internationally accepted system of education. The school is run by Christ educational and Charitable Trust (Regd. No.449/SRO/EKM/2002), formed by the CMI Fathers of Christ Monastery, Irinjalakuda, under whose management Christ College has become one of the prestigious institutions of higher education at the international level.The CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) congregation founded by the Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara has been playing a pivotal role in the field of education at all levels throughout the country. The founder, a pioneer in the field of education, started the first catholic Sanskrit school at Mannanam in the year 1946. Since then a number of educational institutions have been started which stand as monuments to the cause of education throughout the length and breadth of the country.It has been an aspiration of the people of the locality to have a school of national standards and at the same time giving due importance to upholding the moral values. It is with these objectives in mind that Christ Vidyanikethan has taken shape. The curriculum is flexible with core subjects like English, Regional Language and Social Studies with optional subjects to suit the interests of students and the needs of the time.
