I have been involved in high-level strategic and operational leadership in education for more than 30 years and am considered a Middle East expert in transforming schools and creating new schools from concept, through design to reality. I lead a team of professionals who support and challenge our growing group of school acquisitions and new builds. Recent achievements include being educational advisor to The Aquila School, Dubai, which won the 2018 UAE Design Award for best education building. I led Nibras International School through a turbulent period and launched the New NIS campaign, which transformed this school and increased student enrollment significantly. I have a wealth of experience in educational leadership in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East as well as the UK. I have led schools and government organisations, most notably, KHDA where I was a founder Director responsible for creating the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau. The Bureau led to the complete transformation of the Dubai educational landscape and resulted in the UAE Framework for Inspection. Latterly, I was Chief Education Officer of EtonHouse, Korea creating a new early years centre and improving the existing schools.My biggest strength is building teams, creating educational communities and transforming learning and I see myself as first and foremost an education ‘strategist,' who makes great things, happen. I see my ‘people and communication skills' as my greatest asset.I am expert in a range of curricula and understand how best to develop teams to deliver the curricula in the most effective way. I have extensive experience of evaluation work, accreditation and inspection and provide pre-evaluation support to schools. Capable of leading high-level education projects I am committed to making a significant, long-lasting difference to the lives of children, young people and educators.
