Furniture - Chicago, Illinois, United States
In a converted carriage house in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, Cameron Smith works with coarse alloys and salvaged lumber to design and build with industrial mettle. Cameron endeavors to bring industrial implementation to contemporary life by meshing themes of mechanical revolution with those of modern minimalism. Although primarily laboring to manifest form, through solid building processes his work is both rough and functional. He innovates to satisfy his own curiosity and finds spiritual fulfillment in both the discovery process and the realization of his creations. Through hard work, dirt, sweat, sawdust, and punk rock he strives to define himself through his craft.
