Ciana is an Neota Logic application being built for the International Social Services Australia (ISS) as part of the Allens Neota UTS Law Tech Challenge for Social Justice 2021. This program provides students with the unique opportunity to collaborate in a project team, and design an application solution for the non-profit they have been allocated. ISS Australia is a non-profit organisation that provides social work, legal and mediation services for children, families and individuals. In relation to the application, their services include assistance for families experiencing international parental child abduction.Project team Ciana will be designing an app that streamlines the initial stages of the return application process under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980. We aim to create a user friendly app that parents can utilise with ease, with the purpose of increasing the efficiency of the processing of return applications by the lawyers employed at the ISS.
