Cibolo Creek Ranch is one of the oldest ranches in Texas, situated in the Chinati Mountains of the Chihuahuan Desert where historical artifacts, art and antiques, combine to create a true nineteenth century atmosphere. Cibolo's dwellings evoke a sense of togetherness, which culminates during tours and at mealtimes; a fusion of West Texan and Mexican cuisine, served at a long table in our dining room or under the stars. Quiet time means leisurely walks, lounging by the pool, reading by the courtyard, lake or log fires or simply watching large-screen TV or playing games in our media room. Luxury amenities fill all 25 rooms. The ranch has been used by the movie industry since the 1950's and when you visit, you'll understand why.Discover 30,000 acres of the great outdoors and enjoy a range of activities led by experienced ranch hands. Explore the ranch's three historic forts; Cibolo, Ciénega and Morita, built in the mid-nineteenth century by the ranch's founder, Milton Faver and extensively restored by our owner John B. Poindexter – with advice and input from the Texas Historical Commission – as a luxury hotel featuring watchtowers and three-foot-thick adobe walls.Whether you choose to relax or be adventurous, Cibolo Creek Ranch offers a unique ranch-style private getaway. It's the ideal place to relax, restore, renew your vows and more!Come for a visit and indulge your inner wild child!
