The Cincinnati Squash Academy is a sports & education nonprofit that seeks to create a transformative impact on a select group of motivated, underserved youth in the community. The ultimate goal is to guide student-athletes on the pathway to postsecondary success and beyond such that they can live independent, choice-filled lives.There are three phases of programming.PHASE I (Academic & Fitness Explorations)Ages 10-18 for grades 4-12School year programming: Students attend 3x per week at the Emanuel Community Center building in Over-the-Rhine. Each session includes one hour of squash training and one hour of academic support along with curriculum enrichment.Summer programming: We host a camp and connect students to external summer opportunities. PHASE II (Postsecondary Pathways)Ages 18-22Students remain engaged with CSA in their postsecondary journeys (college, workforce development, the military, or a trade school). CSA support includes emotional check-ins, on-site visits, scholarship gap funding, internship stipends, mentorship opportunities, etc. PHASE III (Young Professionals)Ages 20-25We help facilitate professional development and leadership training through our network of support.We hope to encourage these young adults to become leaders in their community as talented working professionals, engaged citizens, and possibly board members.
