Cindy Grobbelaar studied at the University of North-West and obtained a Honours degree in Social Sciences. As a social worker Cindy specializes in mediation and community development.She specializes in defusing high conflict relationships regardless whether it is between individuals or the community with its environment . This includes mediating in family and divorce settings, as well as in establishing a framework for a community to changes their environments to fit their needs.In Mediation Cindy mainly makes use of the FAMAC Model developed by Dr Ronel Duchen who may be regarded as one of the gurus in the mediation field for intervention in conflict. The underlining principle here is the best interest of the child is important and that conflict is normal between people and can be resolved without emotional scaring taking place.In Community Development, the Asset-based Community Development approach is followed. The underlining principle of this approach is that a community is in the best position to ensure changes to its environment. Business leadership is combined with the community development process to ensure sustainable changes that will lead to life quality expansions of the individuals, groups and the community a hole.Cindy's experience includes working in Family and Child Welfare organizations as a social worker. She has worked in corporate, governmental and NGO environments as project manger, changer manger, marketer etc. and as a politician in policy making on local government level. These settings have each contributed to the growth of her experience and knowledge base, therefore giving her an advantage and enabling her to be an asset to you.
