Motion Pictures & Film - Rome, Lazio, Italy
CinemadaMare is an International and Itinerant Film Festival created in 2003 by the Italian LA7 journalist Franco Rina. In 2011, the Italian National Commission for UNESCO has granted its patronage to the festival.Every year the festival hosts 200 young filmmakers coming from all over the world, for free. They participate in the festival over 10 weeks, during which they shoot their films and watch them publicly screened in the squares of the many cities the festival stops in. To all of them we guarantee free accommodation and a partial refund of the costs of their flight. The festival is itinerant, therefore we travel for thousands of kilometers along Italy every summer! The guys shoot their films in each city / stop of our tour. The aim is to let them work together on the same set. We also enable them to meet the greatest authors of the International film world. During these eleven years we have had the pleasure to host: Wim Wenders, Giuseppe Tornatore, Ken Loach, Giuliano Montaldo, Margarethe von Trotta, Mario Monicelli, István Gaál, Amos Gitai, Krzysztof Zanussi, Nicola Piovani among others. All of them have held workshops for the participants to the festival. The festival includes two film competitions. The Main Competition - The Official Competition for short films open to everyone. The Weekly Competition - An internal Competition for the participants of the festival that takes place every week-end.Visit our Website : http://www.cinemadamare.com/Follow us on : •Twitter : https://twitter.com/CinemadaMare•Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/CinemadaMare•Instagram : http://instagram.com/cinemadamare•Pinterest : http://it.pinterest.com/cinemadamare
