We aim to expand the traditional limitations and labels of mental health and integrate a collective approach, one which aims to normalize grief in all areas of life. We believe that no matter what, life is better when we live it in connection with others. Our hope is to promote individual and community healing by moving away from pathologizing the natural responses people experience as a result of profound life changing events. We will do this by providing a safe space to explore, psychoeducation and meaningful connections with others. We look forward to providing therapy, healing circles, workshops for members of the community and offering continuing education, supervision and consultation to other professionals. Circle Connection was started by Rachel Walls, LCSW and Sarah Dziwanowski, LCSW both graduates of Tulane University's School of Social Work and Disaster Mental Health Certification recipients. Sarah and Rachel are both certified in their respective states to provide clinical supervision for LCSW candidates.
