Circle of Friends LLC, a small family-owned agency providing supported living services to one client only, is seeking care providers for an autistic young adult with developmental delays, age25. The agency is operated by the mother of the client. Looking for mature, kind and motivatedfull or part-time caregivers who want to make a difference in my son's life. Providing care for him would consist of assisting him with activities of daily living, preparing his medications, and taking him for community outings including bike and car rides, bowling and shopping and driving the company car. Flexible hours immediately available up to 40 hours per week, aroundyour class schedule. Shifts include days, evenings, nights or weekends. Plenty of down time to do your homework. My son lives in his own condo in Davis and has lots of family support. He is high functioning, but has the emotional maturity of a five-year-old and requires direct supervision 24/7. Current care team already established and has been working together thepast 3-7 years. They are great team members (alums from UCD and Sac State) who work well together and cover for one another. Starting wage $19 per hour but possible opportunity for higher wage soon. Experience with autism preferred, but not required. Students who are majoring in nursing, social work, human development, special education, neurobiology or psychology desired, but not required. Working with an autistic person is a real plus on your resume for future employers. Must pass background and fingerprint check. CA Driver's License required with clean record.
