Nonprofit Organization Management - , ,
A well-respected non-profit community development organization that has been combating poverty and helping support families for nearly 40 years. In the underserved and under-resourced neighborhood of Austin on Chicago's West side, Circle Urban has provided a continuum of direct services and partnerships that meet immediate needs, broaden horizons and help residents become self-sufficient. As a trusted community resource, Circle Urban, along with its partner organizations, reaches hundreds of families each year through a broad landscape of community services, all in a strongly faith-based environment.Direct services by Circle Urban staff include Circle4Success (four year-round youth development programs) to serve kindergarten through high school youth. The youth programs are King's Kids After School and Summer Enrichment (K-6th), LIFT Arts Enrichment (K-8th), 1-to-1 Mentoring (4th-12th), and College Readiness (7th-12th). We also offer Community Care Programs: Daily Bread Food Pantry, the Emergency Fund, and Chaplaincy. An important aspect of Circle Urban's presence in the community is the strategic partners who have joined with us. Located on our campus: Circle Family HealthCare Network (family practice medical clinic); the Austin Branch of the Chicago Legal Clinics; Primo Center for Women & Children (shelter services); Bridge2Freedom Prison Release Residential Training Program; Catalyst Circle-Rock Charter School; and Rock of Our Salvation Church.
