City Central Church is a community of men and women passionately pursuing Jesus Christ in Tacoma, Washington. We are dedicated to a simple mission: Adore God, become like Christ and contend for His Kingdom.At City Central, our purpose is to glorify God and call the next generation into relationship with Jesus. We aim to do this by pouring God's truth and love into our children, raising up devoted, set-apart youth and training young adults to fulfill their individual callings in the Lord.We believe that God moves mightily through prayer. We hold fast to the Gospel message that promises new life in Jesus Christ. We trust that once we begin to follow Jesus, He wants to unfold his original design and purpose for our lives, call each of us into the works He has prepared beforehand and restore us from brokenness — all that we might carry out His divine will for our lives and experience fullness of joy.Worship is a central focus of our gatherings. Sunday mornings at City Central Church are a celebration of Christ's redeeming love, and messages from the pulpit find their foundation in Biblical truth as Lead Pastor Chris Hippe and occasional staff members and guest speakers teach, encourage, exhort and call the church body into deeper intimacy with Jesus.On Wednesday nights, we gather for prayer and worship, topical classes for adults, The Rock youth ministry and Kids Prayer Room. Encounter service offers powerful worship, teaching and community for young adults on Sunday nights. A number small groups gather for prayer throughout the week. And Life Groups meet at various times to provide a place for City Central members to build deeper relationships.Freedom Immersions are three-day courses offered every 2-3 months for church members and out-of-town visitors seeking to experience a greater level of restoration, healing and abundance in Christ.City Central is a nondenominational church affiliated with the Messenger Fellowship community of churches and ministries.
