City High School is a college preparatory program located on 47 E Pennington St in Tucson, Arizona. \\City High School was borne out of a vision for a school that was small and intimate, allowing teachers to provide an authentic educational experience that challenges and supports each and every student; rooted in hands-on exploration of real world issues and project-based learning, providing relevance for student learning\committed to preparing all students for entrance and success in college; modeled after best practices in the Coalition of Essential Schools' network of member schools around the country.\\In the early 2000s, the founding co-directors – Carrie Brennan, Eve Rifkin and Brett Goble – collaborated with a team of highly qualified teachers, pioneering families, innovative community partners, and an active board of directors, to build a school that matched this vision.\\We are a small school by design, in order to achieve a high level of personalization. We strive to ensure that teachers and students know one another well and that all students get the support they need – and receive the challenges they are ready for – to achieve at their highest levels.\\City High School enrolls approximately 190 students per year in grades 9-12. The student population represents a cross-section of the Tucson community, coming from a wide variety of feeder schools, neighborhoods, and ethnic and cultural backgrounds. This diversity allows students to learn from each other and their community.
