Fund-raising - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States
Offering HARMONY in music to help inspire HARMONY in community. City of Festivals Men's Chorus (CoFMC) exists to provide a visible presence and a positive voice in and for the Wisconsin LGBT communities. We started in fall of 2010, as a small group of men who had a common goal for Milwaukee to once again have a gay men's chorus. Our members are made up of both singing and non-singing member. Our singing members include Gay Men and allies of any gender that can sing Bass, Baritone or Tenor. Our non-singing members include supporters who help us in our mission. In addition to our twice a year formal concerts, we have performed for the Milwaukee community at several venues. We have performed at Pridefest on the Miller (Main) Stage for the last 5 years. We were the driving force behind gathering together a community chorus of 70 people to perform as part of the 'it gets better tour' when they came to Milwaukee in early 2014. We sang at the Mayor's Vigil for the victims of the Orlando Pulse shooting. On March 2nd, 2018 we are excited to perform the National Anthem at the Pride Night at the Milwaukee Bucks Game.CoFMC is organized and promoted by the singing and non-singing members who devote their time, talents, and financial support to do everything it takes on stage and behind the scenes to make the music happen. We are truly a community chorus, committed to spreading harmony and goodwill throughout Milwaukee and beyond.
