First created in 2012, City Sound Project quickly grew to become one of Kent's biggest music events. Taking over multiple stages across the historic city of Canterbury for a full 2-day Bank Holiday Weekend of gigs, shows, performances. Up to 3,500 attendees move between up to 24 stages across the city using a wristband for entry to each show. City Sound Project is cross-genre and attendees can expect a line-up of high-profile Headline Acts mixed with cutting edge and breaking' artists, as well as local heroes and up-and-coming bands from around Kent. City Sound Project now organises and promotes up to 20 stand-alone shows throughout the year, to accompany the main annual festival. It's also spawn the new family-friendly, outdoor City Sound Project "In The Park" event held every May Bank Holiday at the prestigious Dane John Gardens in Canterbury, attracting over 16,000 across the weekend. This event is also free-to-enter and supported and funded by Arts Council England, Kent University, Canterbury BID and the local business community.
