UNISON is an independent not-for-profit, environmental, non-governmental organization and was established in 2002. The UNISON team has a vision of an eco-friendly Kyrgyzstan that balances and reaps the benefits of a sustainable development in a global economy.UNISON provides the following expert services: • Environmental and Social impact of the projects in the field of Energy;• Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies on energy-efficiency and renewable-energy projects; • Energy-related macro- and micro-economic analyses, taking into account internationally (specifically EU) accepted methodologies; • Monitoring and analysis of energy-efficiency projects (Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Education and Sustainable Environment); • Preparing and developing of projects' documentation on Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) including PIN, PDD; • Assessment of Energy Performance of buildings, including analysis of energy consumption according to EN 13790, energy conservation measures and profitability calculations. Energy certification of buildings in Kyrgyzstan is provided on voluntary basis due to lack of regulatory framework and obligation for building owners and users; • Development of Action Plans on environmental and energy issues for municipal and regional authorities; • Trainings and capacity building for the general public on energy efficiency, energy conservation and renewable energy technologies; • Organizing and executing of international workshops and conferences on a high level (The Central Asian and European Forum on Climate Change – CAEFOCC 2006); • Development of concept and design of strategic and widespread informational campaigns; • Design and publication of brochures, flyers, articles on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
