Civic Studios tells stories in the genre of Civic Entertainment, i.e. films, television, radio, and digital content that encourages civic engagement, creates knowledge about public institutions, and illustrates various methods of mobilizing change from inside and outside the system. Through the studio's Research Hub, we study methods of civic participation in India, assess how laws and systems can be made stronger, and explore ways media can help both the above. Civic Studios is based in Mumbai, India and was incubated at the MIT Media Lab, USA under the Civic Entertainment research project. ABOUT
