Clarify Analytical is an innovative service providing start-up committed to develop state-of-the-art analytical based methodologies (e.g. chromatographic, mass spectrometric and nuclear magnetic resonance) that allow the quantification and characterization of any type of biological molecules (e.g. DNA, RNA, Proteins and Metabolites) and their modifications. Our mission is to take advantage of the capabilities of these analytical techniques to offer innovative services and develop new products in the areas of biotechnology and Healthcare.Our first product (Clarify LUPUS) aims to translate our knowledge in toxicology and analytical technologies into useful clinical tools to diagnose and help manage the devastating chronic auto-immune disease, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Clarify LUPUS (patent pending) provides earlier and specific SLE diagnosis than the currently used clinical gold standards allowing adequate treatment to stop progression. Our vision is to help extend the lives of people who suffer from Lupus and improve their quality of life.The company's headquarters are situated in the beautiful historical city of Évora and our R&D facilities are located at Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon. To develop our first product (Clarify LUPUS – a test for earlier SLE diagnosis) we are currently working in close proximity with renowned rheumatologists from Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Central (Hospital Egas Moniz) and Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia.
