A gallery, a warehouse, a community for artistic collaboration.Clash House is a platform to provide space, nurture community and cultivate opportunities to support artistic collaboration in pursuit of making the world a better place. Clash House creates this foundation for a thriving artistic community by celebrating improvisation, interactivity, differing beliefs, social justice, honest conversation, entertainment, education and wellness.Founded in 2008 by President Samson Hertz, Clash House Productions produces and presents multimedia art-focused events driven by the spirit of collaboration at our warehouse in Prospect Heights. It is a growing group of people who believe that sharing art and ideas can and should be a source of enjoyment, healing and personal growth. With a roster of visual artists who consistently decorate our walls with paintings and drawings, we are a gallery. With dozens of musicians with vastly differing styles and sounds, we are a concert venue. With troupes of dancers, performance artists, poets and rappers we are a theater. We clash these forms all together in beautiful harmony, with a dash of chaos and a pinch of randomness. We believe there is no one right way to think of or create art, and from that mindset we seek to explore new ways of combining and contrasting forms of art that encourage thought and collaboration. It's for grown-ups, kids, students, teachers, paupers and princes. We are an alternate channel of presentation, one that relies less on money, and more on collaboration. Each person brings what they can to the table. We believe that we are guided by our creations as much as we guide them, and we seit our hunger for ideas through creating, coordinating, and performing with one another. Whether we are in our small meetings, mid-sized shindigs, or full-fledged extravaganzas, we are there to communicate with our fellows, spread our love for humanity, and promote good art.
