Classicalperformances.com The website Classical Performances is a massive and highly organized listing of Orchestra, Opera and Ballet schedules performed within New England. The goal of this website is to have all United States performances in one place. And it's not enough to just have all the schedules at one website. Rather, this site aspires to allow for smooth and elegant navigation. The intention for the design layout of this website is that of simplicity but effectiveness allowing for easy searches of performance schedules. There are over 1000 symphony orchestras in the United States alone. By the fall of 2018 I hope to have at least half of all U.S. musical organizations and performances listed and with schedules. I hope to one day expand and include all English speaking countries. This takes much time, effort and money on my part to accomplish this goal and then maintain it. In addition to this, I will need to get the word out to the public about this website Who will visit this website? It is my supposition, that anyone who wants to attend either large scale productions or smaller, lesser known, productions will be visiting this site. I have been amazed at the amount of Orchestras, Operas and Ballet Companies that I never knew existed, in cities that I never knew had performing arts. I hope that this website will give a voice to the lesser known musical organizations in addition to displaying schedules for the well-known and distinguished musical organizations. Also, if one is going on vacation, and would like to see what is playing in their destination state, they may want to research the upcoming performances in that state or city by searching through this website. I hope to make Classical Performances a unique, carefully structured, information-packed and simple to use resource for classical concert fans. With your help, I hope to make this website as far-reaching and comprehensive as my initial vision currently is for it.
