'Clean My India' is a youth-based initiative to tackle the problem of widespread municipal waste across India.Waste has become a massive problem worldwide. Nowhere is it more burdensome than in developing countries such as India. The United Nations estimates that more than a billion tons of waste is produced every year. India with more than billion people is a major contributor to global waste. Municipal solid waste generated in India per day is 110,000 tons and this is set to more than double to 276,000 tons by 2025, according to the World Bank. 'Clean My India' aims to tackle this growing problem, which results in disease and poor living standards by providing a platform for young people to come up with solutions to dispose of waste.
