Climate Live: a movement that intends to hold simultaneous music events in 40 countries in 2021 in the name of climate action. Climate Live is supported by global NGOs, music and event professionals and global media companies/outlets. Climate Live New Zealand will be a charity festival featuring live performers, artists, and speakers. All profit will be donated to local charities and environmental organisations and will be spent on taking environmental action in New Zealand.There are two international dates: 24th of April 2021 (international live stream online) and the second date is 16th of October 2021 (live concerts). The Climate Live New Zealand charity festival will be taking place on the 16th of October 2021 in the Waikato.Our aims are:1.To raise awareness about climate change and the steps we need to take to prevent it.2.To acquire monetary support for local non-profit organisations.3.To highlight the importance of countries uniting in their efforts to fight climate change.4. To educate and encourage more people to take environmental action.5. To give a platform to our up and coming artists ( including artists in our disadvantaged communities) to showcase their talents and make their voices heard for change.If you are interested in joining us or helping out in any way please email timi@climatelive.org
