Clinton CPR provides the highest quality American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Training that has ever graced this earth. Clinton CPR also might slightly hyperbolize, but if so, not by much. I perform on-site education throughout Massachusetts and New England for parents, daycares, dentists, summer camps, nurses, schools, and more.I became a CPR and First Aid Instructor in 2004 while completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Since that time, I have taught well over a thousand students how to respond to a medical emergency, and played a role in the saving of a handful of lives. I deeply love teaching CPR because it is so simple, yet so powerful. All the fancy interventions that occur at the hospital pale in comparison to the power of immediate bystander CPR and prompt defibrillation in the treatment of cardiac arrest. Around 300,000 Americans die every year from sudden cardiac arrest. The current out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest survival rate is about 5-10%. Studies have reported survival rates as high as 76% in patients who received immediate bystander CPR and defibrillation within 3 minutes. Public access defibrillator (PAD) programs and CPR training have the potential to save tens to hundreds of thousands of lives per year. My job is to make that happen. I love teaching CPR because it provides me a forum thru which to hack away at that 300,000 number, and empower students with life-saving skills. I imbibe my students with the capacity to save a life. It's cool stuff.
