The fresh produce supply chain is riddled with a lot of inefficiencies and the fruits of modernization and the IT revolution have not managed to properly reach it. We intend to build a tech-enabled ecosystem that would support the existing players in the fresh produce industry while at the same time enabling smooth transactions between them.As the first step in this direction, we are currently a fresh produce aggregator enabling direct sale of fruits and vegetables from the farmers to businesses that require the fresh produce as inputs. Fresh produce goes through a lot of intermediaries before reaching the retail businesses and we intend to make the system efficient by eliminating redundancies and providing the twin benefits of higher margins to farmers and lower prices to retailers.
