CMC Magnetics was established in 1967 and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1981. It mainly produces optical storage media and peripheral products. Its excellent optical disc products have repeatedly passed various international certifications. It is the world's largest storage media manufacturer. In 2018, it acquired the business of Verbatim, a global electronic product brand. Its business bases and channels are all over the world's four continents. The product range includes storage media, electronic peripheral accessories, and LED lighting equipment. In response to the trend of technology, it is also actively developing cloud products. In 2010, Verbatim's revenue has accounted for more than 50% of the group's consolidated revenue. Zhonghuan has officially stepped into the operator of a global electronic brand from the world's largest storage media manufacturer. Since 1984, it has invested in the development of the content industry, including investing in the development and agency of music, video, and other content products, investing in Village Roadshow Studios and the shooting of many Chinese-language films, promoting the complete integration of the group in the upstream and downstream of the entertainment industry. Since 104, the US military dormitory area after Shanzai in Yangmingshan has been rented, and restaurants with various dining styles have been successively completed in the way of repairing and renovating old houses, making them the most beautiful "Bimeng Life Park" in Yangmingshan.
