CMGi BuildAR is an augmented reality platform for builders, developers and councils. For too long, 2D plans have been used to sell homes. They're hard to understand for the general public, which means that people often don't understand what they're buying. This results in variations during construction or dissatisfied customers when the home is complete. The CMGi BuildAR app allows people to walk through their home at full scale on their actual block of land. This allows the buyer to get a feel for the size of their home, how it fits in with the neighbours houses, the size of rooms, the heights of ceilings and they can even look through windows and see what their view is going to be. All of your issues that would normally be noticed during construction, can now be picked up during the design process, saving both buyers and builders time and money. This can also be used by councils when conducting development impact assessments. Rather than trying to picture the building on a site, you can just use the BuildAR app to see what impact the development will have on neighbours sight lines or the environment. It can also be used for community consultation when new developments are proposed. Any member of the community can download the app and see exactly what the finished product is going to be. This will reduce complaints and better inform the public. In 2017, 200,000 homes were built in Australia and the residential houseing market is worth around $52 billion. Globally the residential houseing market is worth around $4.2 trillion with 51% of this market existing in the Asia-Pacific region. Right in our backyard. CMG Innovations is already working with a number of personal clients and one home building company and the feedback so far has been tremendously positive. We are also looking to partner with Lake Macquarie Council and Newcastle City Council as part of the Smart City initiative.
