CMK Research Inc. is a small, start-up business located in Kitchener, ON, dedicated to creating new, innovative technologies and products to address a quickly evolving world. Through our different projects- a unique-to-the-market water craft to life-changing sporting helmet technologies designed to make any sport safer- our goal is to make the world a happier and safer place. We are in the research & development phase, and we are excited to share our products with you soon! CMK Research Inc.'s founder, Carl Kuntz, has a personal stake in his work. His father, Bobby (Robert) Kuntz played in the Canadian Football League for 11 seasons from 1956-1966. Unfortunately, he was one of the first players in his league to be diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. During autopsy, Lewy Body and Alzheimer's pathology were found, and the diagnosis of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy was confirmed. These diagnoses are believed to be attributed to the physical nature of football. And at that time, helmets were little more than a thin sheet of plastic, with little padding and a single bar face mask. Carl's passion is to keep players, of any sport, happy and safe.
