The Coalition for Music Education in Canada is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to raising the awareness and understanding of the role that music plays in Canadian culture, and to advocate for the contribution that music education makes in the lives of all Canadians. It is the goal of the Coalition to see that the lives of all children are enriched by quality, developmental music programs through their schools. More than ever, music education is a vital contributor to the success of our children - both in school and in life. We need our young people to think and analyze, to question and innovate. We need them to work together in a spirit of collaboration and respect. Music helps us do all of these things. Music nourishes creativity, confidence, self-expression, intellectual development and more. Let's ensure that we provide our children with the tools that will help them succeed in school and in life.
